26/02/2015 Georgian Water and Power has Put into Operation Newly Laid Backbone Network in Javakhishvili Str.
Company Georgian Water and Power has connected to the water supply system and put into operation newly laid 500 mm and 400 mm backbone network in Javakhishvili Str. (former Elbakidze). Prior to connecting works new networks have been laid, tested, flushed and lab tests carried out.
Newly laid 700 m network in Elbakidze has been arranged with high quality factory made isolated steel pipes, main wells and shutoff valves have been installed. Within the next few days, works on laying sewerage network will be completed in Elbakidze Str.
It should be noted that during laying and testing of new networks, which took approximately 15 days, there were no interruptions in water supply of population of Elbakidze Str. The company temporarily provided water supply with the help of alternative 400 mm network.
Complex works in Elbakidze Str. are still continuing. Together with City Improvement Service under Tbilisi Municipality, technical group of Georgian Water and Power is participating in planning and carrying out the works. Special Coordinating Council is supervising progress of work.
