30/06/2015 All laboratories of Georgian Water and Power Ltd. are accredited under ISO-17025 International Standard
All laboratories of Georgian Water and Power Ltd., controlling the quality of drinking water and located on headworks of Samgori, Saguramo and Bulachauri, are accredited according to ISO-17025 standard. Correspondingly, the drinking water supplied to Tbilisi and Mtskheta population, being controlled in 24-hour mode by the specialists of the laboratory, is in full compliance with the requirements of the national procedures and WHO recommendations. The quality of the water is also controlled in water supply distribution network of Tbilisi and Mtskheta.
As a rule, Georgian Water and Power Ltd. is researching drinking water according to all its biological, bacteriological and parasitologic parameters. In compliance with the analysis taken, all parameters in Tbilisi and Mtskheta drinking water are rather low than the threshold permissible concentrations. ISO-17025 standard accreditation, imposing on the laboratories obligation of strict sticking to the requirements, is the guarantor of observing the quality of drinking water.
Coordination of the Company laboratories performance is carried out by the Central Chemical-Microbiological Laboratory which was reaccredited under ISO-17025 in June this year.
