04/11/2015 Georgian Water and Power finishes today the project of paramount importance for water supply of Tbilisi
Georgian Water and Power company finishes today the project of paramount importance to ensure stability of the capital city’s water supply. In particular the company has rehabilitated several main pipelines in Digomi Valley providing drinking water supply to the major part of Tbilisi.
Water supply of population of Saburtalo, Vake and Mtatsminda districts is going to become much more reliable as a result of carrying out this large-scale project.
The project works have been done in three stages. Amortized sections of 900 mm, 1200 mm and 1400 mm water mains with total length of 1200 meters were replaced. In parallel with the above-mentioned works Georgian Water and Power installed the up-to-date lock valves which will improve the process of water distribution in the networks.
