21/11/2015 Water Supply Large Mains Rehabilitation Program is in Intensive Progress
Georgian Water and Power Ltd. shall finish the rehabilitation works on D=600 mm water supply main in Javakheti street today. This shall allow company significantly improve water supply for Samgori district residents. Georgian Water and Power is intensively implementing Water Supply Large Mains Rehabilitation Program. This year, in the framework of the program, the company has already replaced depreciated section of 7 large mains in various districts of Tbilisi.
Current year, in the framework of the Mains Rehabilitation Program, Georgian Water and Power Ltd. is carrying out technical works in several stages in various districts of the capital. Critical sections of 1400 mm, 1200 mm and 900 mm water supply mains in Digomi valley are already replaced. Also, depreciated sections of 900 mm water conduit in Didi Digomi and Knolevi street, Nadzaladevi district are already renewed. 600 mm network in Varketili-3 is rehabilitated. As the result of rehabilitation of large water supply mains, the population of Tbilisi shall have much more stable water supply.
